Walking in a hospital for a regular checkup in 2020, you are greeted by a friendly android who ensured that you tap your identity card at the right reader. Following, the android handed a Ribena-like sweet pleasing drink. After finishing the drink, you take a seat at the message chair and watch half an hour of your favorite show in an individual-sized surround-sound entertainment “center”. Even before the end of the show, your test results are already ready for you.
So, as a “back-in-the-past” human, you are wondering how had the checkup proceeded. It feels more like going for a movie, with a free Ribena drink. 
Actually, the Ribena drink contains the special imaging material, and the individual entertainment “center” is the imaging machine. As the imaging and analysis is so fast, the results are out in no time.
My eyes nearly fall out when I read the Channel NewsAsia headline “Los Angeles Catholic church to pay US$660m to abuse victims”. Firstly, is there something wrong with my grammar or the writer’s grammar? Does it mean that you can now pay $$$ to abuse (more) victims? 
Secondly, what has the in-charge of this church been doing??? Something must be really wrong that the church has to fork out millions of dollars for settlement.
Anyway, in short, the article reported that the Romain Catholic Church in Los Angeles agreed to a settlement of 660 million dollar to be paid out to the 508 victims who had been sexually abused by its priests with the abuse dated back to 1940s.
However, the Archdiocese head Cardinal Roger Mahony who is being accused of covering up the cases is walking free, and the church has succeded in avoiding to disclose more details under oath in open court with the settlement.
